Tony Larson was born in Whatcom County and graduated from Western Washington University in Bellingham, earning a degree in Economics and Finance.
He is the President of the Whatcom Business Alliance. An organization focused on improving community prosperity and economic opportunities by facilitating a robust local business climate and supporting local business success and employment opportunities.
In addition, Tony is the publisher of Business Pulse magazine and the former owner of the Bellingham Bells Baseball Club. He is the founder of the Northwest Business Expo as well as Whatcom County Business Person and Small Business of the Year awards banquet, which have showcased and recognized businesses in our community for 33 years.
Tony’s experience stretches beyond the business community. He is a former Whatcom County Council member, school board member, and has served in leadership positions on many local boards and advisory committees including the United Way, Junior Achievement, NW Private Industry Council, Whatcom Chamber of Commerce, WWU’s Alumni Association, NW Economic Council, Opportunity Council, and Bellingham Airport advisory committee.
He is a recipient of the Junior Achievement Leadership Award, WWU’s prestigious Builder of Bellingham Award and Partner of the Year Award from the Whatcom County Association of Realtors.
Tony lives in Bellingham with his wife Danielle of 26 years where he stays active in his community as a youth coach and former Big Brother for Big Brothers and Sisters. Tony and Danielle have two college aged children they raised in Whatcom County.
